Alis Blanton-Brown is the founder and owner of Official Advocates Consulting, LLC, where she helps individuals and families confidently navigate today’s complex healthcare system.
Her passion for patient advocacy began in 1993, after her grandmother suffered a severe stroke. Helping her family care for her grandmother, Alis experienced firsthand how confusing medical insurance, healthcare decisions, and medical bills could be. That experience became a lifelong commitment to helping others avoid the same struggle.
Motivated to deepen her knowledge, Alis returned to college and earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration in 2023. Combined with more than 30 years in the healthcare industry, she brings deep expertise in health insurance, risk management, medical billing, coding, appeals, denied claims, and negotiating medical bills.
Alis founded Official Advocates Consulting because she believes no one should have to face the healthcare system alone or suffer financial hardship over medical expenses. Her mission is to educate, empower, and advocate for patients by simplifying complex healthcare information and helping them maximize their insurance benefits.
Outside of advocating for her clients, Alis enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband, kids, family, and friends.
